In my experience, online lessons are more convenient, private, and, most importantly, effective than in-person lessons.

Here are answers to some questions about online tutoring. Please click on the pages above for other information about me and my lessons.

What do I need to begin?
You need a computer, such as a laptop or tablet.

I use Google Meet or WhatsApp for video calls, which you can use with or without a headset.

My WhatsApp number is 1 (902) 452-5557.

(Note: I use a headset when I tutor from my home office, so no one will hear you talk except me.)

What other technology do you use to tutor?
I use Google Docs, a free online service that lets users share and edit documents together in real time, to help with my tutoring. I use Google Docs during my lessons to type in my students’ corrections and my suggestions. This service is very easy to use.

What is your schedule?
My schedule is from 12 pm to 9 pm AST/ADT (Atlantic Standard Time/Atlantic Daylight Time), Monday to Friday, which is -3 or -4 GMT, depending on the time of year. I also work on Saturday from 12 pm to 6 pm. Please click here for a time zone conversion website. Halifax, where I live, is listed as Canada – Nova Scotia – Halifax.

How can I pay for lessons?
Payments are made via e-transfer (within Canada) as well as via Wise or PayPal (with your own free PayPal account or a credit card) internationally.

My account that you may send money to is esltutor500(at)gmail(dot)com.

For a free lesson (one hour) or more information, please email Sarah at esltutor500(at)gmail(dot)com or call (leave a message)/text 1 (902) 452-5557.
